Description

This model is a rough approximation of a Norman Keep – such as the White Tower at the Tower of London and the keep of Dover Castle. Thus keep is about nine inches square and one foot tall. It is designed for 25 mm (1 inch) or 22 mm figures. The keep can be used separately or combined with wall and tower block sections. The keep is cut from ¾” pine or fir and is best cut with a table saw. The block set towers are also cut from the same stock. The block set walls are cut from 2×4 stock and require a table saw. The texture in the photos is made by spraying the castle with a light grey spray paint and then spraying a darker grey through a wire mesh. Alternatively, a second coat may be what is called “stone” spray paint. One can make as many wall and tower sections as desired to build a larger castle.
